Humanity 100 Fabel #4 The Slave & Mother Nature (From Fables Never Told on Earth)
ILLUSTRATED BY T. ANDREW JONES
A man born into slavery cursed mother nature for his natural childbirth.
Mother Nature chastised the man
For blaming the deplorable condition of slavery on nature.
“But slavery is the natural order,” the man complained,
“How can the mother of nature deny guilt?”
“The natural order?” repeated Mother Nature.
She was astonished by the statement until she realized the statement’s source.
Mother Nature replied, “That’s according to your master’s father in heaven.
Why do you believe your master?”
The man replied, “Because I’m a slave. I have no choice.”
Mother Nature said, “That’s unnatural and blasphemy.”
The slave didn’t understand.
“Does your master also say you can be born again?” Mother Nature asked.
The slaved said, “Of course.”
Mother Nature replied, “For your sake I’ll pray for a cesarean.”
